USA AI Olympiad (USAAIO)

USAAIO organizes the USA-North America AI Olympiad (USA-NA-AIO) for K-12 students in the U.S. and Canada.

By organizing Team USA for the IOAI, IAIO, and IAI²O, USAAIO enables the United States to serve as a founding country of these three international Olympiads.

  • Registration for the 2027 USA-NA-AIO competition is now open. It will close on January 31, 2027, at 11:59 p.m. EST.
  • The 2027 Round 1 competition will take place on February 19, 2027, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EST.
  • USA-NA-AIO is the unique pathway for U.S. students to represent the U.S. at the following three international competitions:

Congratulations to Team USA on their strong performance at the 2026 International AI Olympiad (IAIO) in Ljubljana, Slovenia from February 23-27. These outstanding students brought home one gold medal, one silver medal, and two honorable mentions.
